KD beech/oak/hornbeam firewood — 1.70 m³ crates

Kiln-dried split beech/oak/hornbeam, 25 or 33 cm, moisture below 20%, stacked in wooden crates ready for resale. The crate is 1000 × 1000 × 1800 mm externally; with 22 mm boards on the base and two sides the internal dimensions are 956 × 1000 × 1778 mm, which is a measured 1.70 stacked m³. The trade usually sells a crate of these external dimensions as "1.8 m³" — we quote the measured internal volume so you can compare offers on the same basis.

How many stacked cubic metres does one crate hold?
One crate holds a measured 1.70 stacked cubic metres (1.70 RM). The crate is 1000 × 1000 × 1800 mm externally; with 22 mm boards on the base and two sides the internal dimensions are 956 × 1000 × 1778 mm. A crate of these external dimensions is commonly sold in the trade as a "1.8 m³ crate". We quote the measured internal volume so that offers can be compared on the same basis. A weighbridge ticket from a recent load is available on request.
How many crates fit on one truck, and how many stacked m³ is that?
26 kiln-dried crates on a standard 24 tonne truck, which is 44.2 stacked cubic metres. Each crate holds approximately 843 kg of kiln-dried wood; with the crate tare of about 80 kg that is approximately 923 kg gross per crate, or about 24,000 kg for the full load.
What is the moisture content, and how is it measured?
Below 20% measured at the core, not at the surface. Drying takes place in our own biomass-fired kiln, one full cycle per batch. The drying log and the moisture readings for your specific batch are supplied with the load on request.
Which species do you supply, and where does the wood come from?
Beech, hornbeam and oak. The raw material comes from state-managed Croatian forests through Hrvatske šume d.o.o. under annual purchase contracts, with full traceability from the forest compartment through to the invoice. Our own FSC Chain of Custody certification is in progress.
Do you deliver EXW or DAP, and how long does it take?
Both. Lead time is 10 working days from order confirmation for final preparation and the last drying phase, plus transport. We are directly on the A3 motorway at the Novska exit: approximately 4 hours to Austria and northern Italy, and about 2 days to western Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. We have no commercial interest in transport, so you are welcome to collect EXW with your own carrier.
What is the minimum order quantity?
One full truck load. We supply wholesale only, business to business, and do not sell to private customers.
